We are talking about his parents. He must have been very young when they disappeared as he has only a few memories. His father he did not like. He frightened him. He says he always went to school in podol, from when he was 5 or 6. His school was just of a square where the trams were.

С 6 лет? Нормально.
Если он ездил в школу каждый день - не интернат
Если полицейский посадил его в поезд - это он исчез, а не Крюковы.

So, the first school from age 5 to 7. The second from age 7.
His parents disappeared before he started the first school?
What they learned in the first school? On which language? Russian or Ukrainian?
Small classes in the first school or in second?

My father does not remember anything about the first school other than it was in Podol. He does not remember anyone taking him but does remember Sura taking him to doctors after school for a vaccination.
Small classes in second school.
He thinks he was taught in Ukrainian language.
He thinks his school years he was living with the Krukov family.
The krukov family disappeared that was why he was wondering the streets.
They must have gone while he was at school?

There is information about Krukov Yakov on site "Pamyat naroda" which is dedicated to soviet wariors in WWII.
Krukov Yakov Nikitovich (his father is Nikita) was born in 1901 in Yashkino, Kuybyshevskaya oblast. Was drafted to the army in Kiev in 1944.
Died in 1945.
Nearest relative: neighbor Zevaka Yakov, who lived in Shevchenko village #22.
Could it be that Yakov?
Pogulyaev (Kiev) / ПОГУЛЯЕВ (Киев)
Thank you. I will ask my father if he has heard this name.
So maybe Yakov and Rosa were not killed in 1941.

I'm not sure, but as I know, usually in the graph "nearest relative" is indicated wife or another relatives: parents, brothers/sisters.
But there is just his neighbor in the document. So perhaps Rosa could died before.

This brings up the question of Rosa's nationality and possibly being a relative of Pogulaev.
And what happened to their children?

Well, the names fully match, so most likely it is the right people -- and it looks like you mostly solved the puzzle.
And then it seems that there was no disappearance in 1934 at all?
