Looking for Max or Mendel Fromchuck . Emigrated from Teplik to New York arriving May 13 1913 on the SS Ryndam . His wife (Sarah Gelman Fromchuck and 3 children followed in 1921. Only 1 of 3 children (Solomon) survived the journey through Romania to eventually reach New York through Rotterdam.

You have the ship protocol? There must be names of his relatives in NY and Teplik.
You know the name of Max parents?

Hi !
So no I do not know Max’s parents names. And the ship manifest for the Ryndam is missing those dates where he would have saled. There are manifests for 1912 and 1914 but missing 1913. Im not sure what to do. Im stuck!

Im seeing evidence that he may have arrived May 8th 1913 so I will look for that Manifest as well

Wow this is amazing thank you! I do not know the brothers name though its listed as Gad on Family Search and on an enlistment paper it states a relative as morris . Max was a furrier . Morris may have been his brother. Morriss parents were George Fromchuck and Rose Balesky

Morris had a son Harry who I think employed him as a delicatessen clerk if i read if correctly on his death certificate. His wife was Merime Fromchuck.

Gad is a Jewish name. He could have a double name when born. Like Gad-Morduch... Possibly Morduch changed his name to Morris in the US.
Or, the name in the protocol was written (or digitalized) incorrect.
Or, it was a third brother Gad...

Who was gad-morduch or is this just an example. I do not know Max’s parents names . Only Morris's’ parents right now George Fromchuck and Rose Balesky.
