Hello. I need help with information on Salomon Rekun, son of Mordechai, died in the battle of Kaliningrad. I found out he died there from a search my relatives found online but there is not much there. He was born around 1898 in Pervomaisk on Bug. I'd like to know personal details about him and of course when exactly he died and when. He left a wife and three children. Thank you in advance. I don't speak Russian.

Sidor Mikhailovich Rekun died on January 26, 1945 in Prussia, and not Solomon Rekun.
I think this is not your relative who died in 1945.

Rekun Sidor Mikhailovich

Date of birth: 1902
Place of birth: Ukrainian SSR, Rivne region, village Podorusen.

Solomon's grandson told me that all men were taken to the war. They were receiving letters from him until they got notification that he died in the war.

There was also another member of the family that died, apparently in the Battle of Stalingrad; his name was Shecka Abedor - probably born around 1922 or a bit later - is it possible for you to try and find him?
Thank you so much for all the info - I am in touch with this family thanks to the DNA test I took! Solomon was my baba's older brother. My baba immigrated to Uruguay in 1928 from Pervomaysk.
