I am looking for Semyon Gun (born 1940's or earlier) - his mother was Roza Gun (nee Mitnik) born in 1912 in Pervomaysk; I don't know where they moved to but my grandmother used to correspond with Roza till the late 1970's.

I am attaching a picture of them plus what is written on the back. The picture is from 1972-1974.

Ищу информацию о Семен Гун (1940 г. р. или раньше) - его мать Роза Гун (урожденная Митник) 1912 года рождения, г. Первомайск;
Не знаю, куда они переехали, но бабушка переписывалась с Розой до конца 1970-х годов.

Прилагаю их фотографию плюс то, что написано на обратной стороне. На фото 1972-1974 годы.

Нет, Вы не поняли, там написано Gun латинскими буквами, а не Гун. Может, в России эта Роза имела другую фамилию, а при натурализации стала именоваться Gun. Тогда в России нужно искать другую фамилию.

No, you do not understand, it says Gun in Latin letters, not Gun. Maybe in Russia this Rose had a different surname, but when naturalized it became known as Gun. Then in Russia you need to look for another surname.

She stayed in Russia. Never immigrated. There is last name Gun in Russia - (my grandfather was the one that wrote in Latin; she was his sister) - see this for example: https://pamyat-naroda.ru/heroes/?static ... oga&page=1

If you can see she only had son David with her in 1942.
That means Semyn was born when Rosa was already in Tashkent.
In 1942 or later.

61 years old from Chernivtsi,in New York. USA
And Edouard Gun 54 года, Нью-Йорк, США
54 years old from Chernivtsi,in New York. USA
Maybe they were related to the Gun family from Odessa.
